OurDream AI is built around making things: characters, pictures, short clips. If you pick the wrong one, you will spend a month paying for features you never touch.

We rate Secrets AI 9.9 out of 10 and OurDream AI 9.7. The gap is small. The difference in what you get for your money is not.

Memory and continuity

This is where the two platforms split hardest.

Secrets AI treats memory as a product feature with tiers. Free accounts get basic recall. Premium adds roughly 60% more short-term context and about four times the stored memories. Ultimate doubles the context again and stores six times more. There is a memory panel where you can rank what matters, correct facts and delete outdated details. Lorebooks, listed on Premium and Ultimate, hold world details. Time Travel lets you branch a conversation, and deleted messages take their linked memories with them.

Independent write-ups are less starry-eyed. One review calls the memory functional rather than deeply comprehensive. A blog post calls it shallow and inconsistent. Our own score sits at 9.9 — good, not magic.

OurDream AI markets itself as unlimited AI roleplay. Memory is the weak spot. One blog says the platform knew the user well after three months of daily chatting, which is a real point in its favor. Independent tests tell a different story: the model leans on recent messages, and older plot points slip. Our score is 7.9.

Practical result: Secrets holds a story together across weeks. OurDream holds the last hour together well.

Images and video

OurDream AI is the better media factory. In-chat images cost 5 dreamcoins. Standard images run 10 coins per two. Your 1,000 monthly coins cover roughly 200 images. Image quality gets compared to Candy.ai in user reports, and the Vivid model produces photo-like results. That is a serious amount of output for one plan.

Secrets AI charges 50 Moments per image, 100 at 2K resolution. Your 8,000 Moments stretch to about 160 pictures. Advanced mode accepts natural-language descriptions and up to five reference pictures, which is genuinely useful for keeping a character's face consistent.

Neither platform lets you upload your own photos. That blocks real-person deepfakes, and it is the right call.

Video: OurDream charges 100 dreamcoins per 5 seconds and runs up to 60 seconds. Ultra video costs 200 coins, and an audio add-on runs 20 coins per second. A 1,000-coin month buys around 10 short clips.

Secrets adult video is 8 seconds at 720p for 600 Moments. SFW clips run 4 to 15 seconds, up to 4K, at prices that vary. That works out to roughly 13 adult clips per month.

On both platforms, video means generated clips. Neither does video calls.

Voice calls

Both charge 50 credits per minute. On OurDream that is 50 dreamcoins. On Secrets it is 50 Moments.

The difference is what the call does afterwards. Secrets takes calls in real time inside the same chat thread and supports over 70 call languages. Audio itself is not stored; only a transcript is kept, and that transcript feeds memory. One blog notes that Secrets calls and text chats share the same memory, so a phone call is not a separate relationship.

OurDream charges 5 dreamcoins for premium-voice narration per paragraph, and its voice score is the lower of the two at 7.9. Do the math on a long call: 20 minutes at 50 coins a minute uses your entire monthly coin allowance.

Character builder

OurDream AI wins this one. Creating a chatbot costs 10 dreamcoins, and subscribers can publish characters for others to use. Customization scores 10.

Secrets AI gives you your first custom character free; extras cost 500 Moments each. Advanced personality editing is an Ultimate feature, not a Premium one. What Secrets does well is tone control: a per-chat Spice Level from Mild to Spicy, and response styles that switch from short texts to full paragraphs. Customization sits at 8.9.

If you like designing personalities, OurDream is cheaper and more open. If you like tuning how an existing character talks, Secrets gives you more knobs.

Group chats and personas

OurDream includes group chats at its standard tier. You pick who speaks by tapping a portrait or using an @-mention. The catch: the help center does not state which plan includes group chats. That is a question for support before you pay.

Secrets locks personas, proactive messages and two-to-three-companion group chats behind Ultimate at $39.99 a month. That is double the entry price for features OurDream includes.

Both monthly plans are $19.99. The yearly prices are close: OurDream at $119.88 a year works out to $9.99 a month and throws in 1,000 bonus coins upfront. Secrets at $109.99 a year is $9.17 a month.

Credits behave differently. OurDream's dreamcoins do not expire. Secrets' monthly Moments reset each cycle. Purchased top-ups on Secrets never expire, which softens the blow. Only subscribers can buy extra credits on either platform.

One caveat on OurDream: third parties report a Deluxe tier, but it does not appear on official pages. Treat it as unconfirmed.

Cost per credit, and how the credits die

The sticker prices are identical. The real cost shows up when you generate media.

On OurDream, 1,000 coins buys about 200 images or about 10 short clips. On Secrets, 8,000 Moments buys about 160 images or about 13 adult clips. Per picture, OurDream is cheaper. Per adult video clip, Secrets is slightly ahead.

The bigger trap is expiry. Cancel Secrets and your unused monthly Moments are gone at the end of the cycle unless you bought them separately. Cancel OurDream and your dreamcoins survive — but your generated images and videos get blurred. You keep the credit, not the output.

The free tiers are barely free

OurDream gives you 1 dreamcoin per message. That is not enough to chat normally, and it produces no media at all.

Secrets gives 20 messages a day with no Moments. No images, no video, no calls. You can test the chat voice, nothing else.

Neither free plan tells you much about the paid experience. Budget for one month of either if you want a real answer.

Watch the wrong price claims

You will see Secrets AI quoted at $9.99 a month in some blog posts. That figure matches a retired legacy Plus plan, not current pricing. The real entry price is $19.99.

OurDream gets cited as having a library of over 63 million characters by third-party guides. Its own homepage advertised over 11 million characters as of October 9, 2026. Believe the vendor's number, not the listicle's.

Both homepages claim end-to-end encryption. Neither policy backs it up. What both actually describe is encryption at rest and in transit — good practice, not end-to-end. If you assumed your chats were unreadable to the company, they are not.

Both may use chat data to train AI models. Both allow explicit content between fictional adult characters and ban anything involving minors.

Moderation differs. OurDream runs an LLM filter called Automod. Secrets uses AI-assisted moderation. Neither is fully uncensored, whatever the marketing says.

Deletion is cleaner on Secrets: profile and chat history go immediately. On OurDream, account deletion takes 24 to 48 hours, and popular public characters may stay up. Our privacy scores land at 6.9 and 8.9.

Product caveats worth knowing before you pay

• OurDream's refund rules conflict: a 14-day quality guarantee on one page, a 25% usage cap on another. Crypto payments are never refunded, and there is no PayPal.
• Secrets subscriptions, Moments and crypto purchases are generally non-refundable.
• OurDream's group chat plan requirements are not documented in the help center.
• Secrets charges 600 Moments per adult video clip. Ten clips is 6,000 of your 8,000 monthly Moments.
• Both are web only. OurDream offers add-to-home-screen; Secrets is an installable PWA. No native app on either.
• Secrets menus come in English, German, Spanish, French and Japanese. Language support for chat is not documented in our data.

Who should pick which

Pick Secrets AI if: you want one companion, a story that runs for months, voice calls that count, and privacy terms that survive a careful read. You will pay for it: $19.99 entry, $39.99 if you want group chats or advanced personality editing, and Moments that vanish if you cancel.

Pick OurDream AI if: you want to build and publish characters, generate a couple hundred images a month, and try short video without a second bill. Accept that the memory is loose and that cancelling blurs everything you made.

Skip both if: you want a free experience. Neither free tier generates media.

Alternatives

If neither fits, Candy.ai scores well on images but includes only 100 tokens monthly and has weaker memory — our review covers the token bills in detail. Janitor+ costs $12.99 a month. Other names that come up in user comparisons: GoLove AI, CrushOn, Muah, CraveU AI. Nectar AI's credit system is hard to budget according to reviewers. SpicyChat AI's free plan uses a queue. One blog claims LusyChat premium starts around $7.99 a month; we could not verify that.

Bottom line

Same price, different product. Secrets AI sells continuity. OurDream AI sells output. If you are paying for a relationship that builds over time, Secrets is the better buy and the safer bet on privacy terms. If you are paying for a creative toy, OurDream gives you more per dollar.

Start with one month. Track your credits for the first week, because both platforms can drain a month's allowance in a single long call. And keep personal details out of the chat — neither platform offers the end-to-end encryption its homepage suggests.
