Candy.ai sells three kinds of video and none of them are free. Here is what each one does, what the tokens cost, and where the limits bite.

Candy.ai is an adult AI companion platform, and video is the part people ask about most. Three different things get called "Candy AI videos," and they behave nothing alike. One animates a picture you already made. One is interactive. One is a pre-made clip you watch. Knowing which is which saves you a token pack.

This guide is for adults 18+ who want the numbers before paying. Everything below comes from Candy's help center, its pricing pages and published reviews; where a figure is a reviewer's report rather than an official number, we say so. No brand paid for a spot here.

The three video types at a glance

Every video on Candy starts from a companion. That's either a pre-made bot or a character you build. Characters get a look, a personality, a voice and hobbies, in realistic or anime style. The same face shows up across every video you generate, which is the point: it's one person, not a random generator.

Image-to-video: the cheap, short one

This is the workhorse. You make a picture of your character, then convert that picture into a short clip. It costs about 12 tokens per video, per reviewer reports from late 2026. Older guides quoted 5 to 10, which tells you the price has drifted upward.

The catch is that there is no text-to-video generator on Candy. You cannot type a paragraph and get a clip from nothing. The picture comes first, always. If the still is wrong, the video is wrong, and you have spent tokens finding out.

Length is the other catch. Image-to-video is brief. It animates a moment, not a scene. If you want something that runs, you need Live Action.

Live Action: the interactive one, on selected characters

Live Action puts your character in a small world where she moves and reacts. One review dates its arrival to February 2026. It ships with Automatic Story and Scenario modes, and reviewers report clips running up to 120 seconds, which is the longest format Candy offers.

Two limits matter here. First, Live Action only works on selected characters, so the bot you like may not support it. Second, it costs roughly three times the picture token rate. A picture runs about 4 tokens (older sources said 2), so do that math before you queue up a batch.

Candy's own notes describe Live Action as mobile-first. The 330-token Premium Plus tier advertises Live Action with live audio. If Live Action is the reason you're subscribing, check the tier before checkout, not after.

Candy AI Shorts: watching, not steering

Shorts are made by Candy's team, each following a script. You unlock them with tokens inside the app and they play immediately, no render wait. What you don't get is control. You watch them. You don't direct them. Think of Shorts as content, not a tool.

What it actually costs

Videos need a paid plan. A free account gets five messages, one custom character and one picture, and that's the ceiling. Every video then costs tokens on top of the subscription. That's the complaint we see most: paying for a plan and still paying per clip.

ItemCostSource
Monthly plan$13.99Reported; matches official EUR page
Quarterly plan$8.99 monthly ($26.97)Same

One pictureAbout 4 tokens (older: 2)Reported
Top-ups$9.99/100 to $299.99/3,750Reported, behind login

Run the arithmetic and it gets plain. The 100 tokens included in a monthly plan buy roughly eight image-to-video clips and nothing else. Eight. Media-heavy users report spending $25 to $80 total once top-ups enter the picture.

Top-up pricing sits behind login, which is worth knowing before you commit. We cover the token math in more detail in our breakdown of Candy AI images and what they cost in tokens.

How to make your first video without wasting tokens

  1. Sign in at the official candy.ai and pick a plan that includes tokens.
  2. Open a pre-made character or create your own.
  3. Chat a message or two so the character has context.
  4. Generate a picture. Get the face and framing right before anything else.
  5. Convert that picture to video, or open Live Action if the character supports it.
  6. Check your token balance in the account area so you know what's left.

A few habits that save money. Get the still picture right first, because the video inherits its flaws. Keep prompts simple: one pose, one setting, one emotion. Give the character a clear world and a short backstory, since Live Action reads that context. And test one video before buying a big token pack. One.

The fine print worth reading

Candy is run by EverAI Limited in Malta under GDPR. Data is encrypted in transit, but no end-to-end encryption is claimed. The privacy notice says prompts and outputs may be used to train AI and moderation models, with human review. Account data is kept up to three years after your last activity. You can delete it under Settings, Danger Zone. Charges show up as EverAI on your statement.

Refunds are narrow: within 24 hours, 20 tokens or fewer used, card payments only. There is no native app, browser only, installed as a PWA. And there's no text-to-video generator, so if a page promises you one, it isn't Candy. We dig into the fine print in our piece on whether Candy AI is safe.

Content rules are explicit media of fictional adult characters only. Anything resembling minors is banned, and reports of known CSAM go to NCMEC. Never create video of a real person. Sign in only at candy.ai and ignore app-download links. On shared devices, turn off browser notifications.

One more limit: reviewers note weak long-term memory. Your character may not hold onto details across sessions the way you'd expect.

How Candy compares on video

OurDream AIUp to 60 seconds, optional audio100 dreamcoins per 5 secondsNo
Secrets AIAdult videos, memory-focused companion600 Moments per videoNo

OurDream AI gives you 1,000 coins monthly from $9.99 on the annual plan. Note that images and videos blur if your subscription lapses. Secrets AI includes 8,000 Moments on its $19.99 plan, and its free tier can't generate videos at all.

Which one you want depends on your complaint. If it's memory, our comparison of Secrets AI vs Candy AI lays it out. If it's media variety, read Candy AI vs OurDream AI. And if you're simply done with token bills, our list of Candy AI alternatives sorts them by the reason you're leaving.

A note on "Candy World" videos

Some people searching for Candy AI videos want actual candy videos: hyper-realistic transformations, surreal worlds, impossible factory lines, ASMR clips with cutting and pouring sounds. That's a different hobby. Those tools aren't connected to Candy.ai in any way. Vendor claims in that space, like one tool advertising 30,000+ candy videos monthly, are unverified. Don't confuse the two when you're reading a how-to page.

Our verdict

Candy's pictures are among the most realistic in the companion market, and the videos inherit that. We rate Candy.ai 9.8 out of 10, with realism at 10 and value at 8.2. Image-to-video is the cheapest route in. Live Action is the most immersive, when your character supports it. Shorts are for watching. On 100 tokens you get about eight clips, so the cheapest sensible start is the yearly plan plus one modest top-up. Read the full Candy.ai review before you subscribe, and check whether download is even offered in your account, because the help center doesn't confirm it.
